US Secretary of State John Kerry says America s committed to increasing the number of refugees it is willing to take in as US allies in Europe struggle to accommodate tens of thousands of refugees from the Middle East and Africa. After closed-door meetings on Capitol Hill, Kerry said US President Barack Obama has made it clear that the US wants to take a leadership role on humanitarian issues.
