The Punjabi film 'The Mastermind Jinda Sukha', which was set to be released on September 11, has been banned in India. The film, which is based on lives of the assassins of former Army General Arun Kumar Vaidya, was previously granted clearance from the Censor Board on July 24, but has now been banned after the Union home ministry and Intelligence Bureau raised objections.

The Mastermind Jinda Sukha' lauds the sacrifice of "martyrs'' and Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) militants Harjinder Singh aka Jinda and Sukhdev Singh aka Sukha, who gunned down Gen Vaidya on August 10, 1986, about two years after Operation Blue Star. Vaidya was the Army chief during Operation Blue Star.
