Sena withdraws protest against Kasuri's book launch

The Shiv Sena has decided to withdraw its protest against the book launch of former Pakistan minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri in Mumbai. The climbdown comes Uddhav Thackeray spoke to the Maharashtra CM and decided that protest against Sudheendra Kulkarni will be called offafter the intervention by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. 

Earlier in the day, Sena activists had flung ink at Sudheendra Kulkarni, the organiser of the event, which is to be held today in Mumbai's Worli area. After the attack, the Sena had defended its actions, saying that it was a mild attack and that the ink was symbolic of all the blood of the soldiers who had lost their lives fighting terror forces from across the border.
