IED blast in J-K's Shopian; no casualties

Mukhtar Ahmad reports: A powerful improvised explosive device exploded near the district office complex in south Kashmir Shopian's this morning.

However, no one was injured in the blast. A senior police officer said the IED had been planted by militants on the road near the district office complex, which houses the offices of senior officers including that of the deputy commissioner.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
