In its recent edition, RSS mouthpiece Organiser has alleged that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi claimed his salary and allowances during his 56-day 'leave of absence' earlier this year.

In its report, 'Expose: Rahul gets pay without work', in the edition released on Sunday, Organiser has claimed to have accessed official documents to show that Rahul availed these benefits during the Budget Session.

Rahul had left before the Budget Session began on February 23, and returned on April 16. "It pays to be a Gandhi. Ask Rahul Gandhi, the 44-year-old scion of the Gandhi dynasty. While common people would be stripped of their salary for being absent from office for 56 days, Rahul Gandhi not only gets his salary but is not even docked even a single day's pay," said the report.
