Indrani Mukerjea conscious, may record statement today

Indrani Mukerjea, who is currently at Mumbai's JJ Hospital, is now conscious, said the dean of the hospital. Dr TP Lahane said that Indrani, who was not responding for 2 days, after she became unconscious on Saturday, was being treated and that her discharge would be decided later. Police are likely to record the statement of Indrani, mother and main suspect in Sheena Bora murder case, today regarding her recent alleged suicide bid in Byculla prison. Highly placed sources in the Home department said if the consulting psychiatrist permits, police might record her statement in the hospital.
