Dadri lynching: Scared sellers shut shop, all meat off the menu

Shops in and around the village of Dadri -- where a man was lynched over beef rumours --have been closed temporarily even though the district administration has not issued any prohibitory order against sale or purchase of non-vegetarian items. Owners of eateries in the area also have decided to keep meat off their menu, saying that the attack had polarized the entire area and that business has been affected. Non-vegetarian restaurants in adjoining villages have also shut down.
