Paris siege: Woman in building blows herself up with suicide belt
November 18, 2015  12:16
Five or six explosions have been heard in the past few minutes (around 7:30 am in Paris) as police besiege suspected terrorists holed up in a flat in the northern Paris suburb of Saint Denis.

Two suspected terrorists are reported to have been killed and a bystander injured in exchanges of fire. Two police officers have reportedly been injured, The Telegraph's David Chazan reports. A woman is believed to have detonated her suicide belt.

It is unclear if other suspects are still in a flat in the area of the Rue de la Republique or the Rue Gabriel Pri in the commercial centre of the suburb where there are many shops and businesses. All are closed this morning and the centre of Saint Denis remains cordoned off.
