Just in: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to call off the India-Pakistan series in December. The PCB is believed to be miffed at the BCCI's refusal to play the series in the UAE. The BCCI has said the series can only be played in India.

Pakistan said yesterday that it will not tour India to play their 'home' bilateral series with PCB chairman Shahryar Khan saying that a third 'home' series in India was out of the question.

Khan claimed last week that the BCCI in India had invited Pakistan to play a series in India in December. According to a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the BCCI and PCB in 2014, this is Pakistan's turn to play host. For security reasons, Pakistan play their home matches in the UAE.

The ball now rests in Pak PM Nawaz Sharif's court as the series can only take place if he overrules the PCB.
