Just in: Senior advocates Indira Jaising, Dayan Krishnan and HS Phoolka to argue for Delhi government in AAP vs L-G case at the Delhi High Court. 


Jaising, the former additional solicitor general had given her legal opinion on the matter when the issue came to the fore saying that the LG has no power under the Constitution to appoint a chief secretary. H S Phoolka, is a senior Supreme Court advocate, who contested the Lok Sabha polls on a AAP ticket, but lost.


The High Court is hearing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's petition challenging the home ministry's notification issued last week, which declared that he has no role in the appointment of bureaucrats. The Supreme Court today refused to step into the power battle between the Centre and the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and said the High Court will decide on a controversial home ministry notification that said that the Chief Minister had limited powers.
