Jaya may return as CM if acquitted today

If Jayalalithaa is acquitted today, she can return as Tamil Nadu chief minister. However, if her conviction is upheld, she will be sent to jail - at least till she seeks and gets relief from the Supreme Court - and will continue to be disqualified from contesting elections.
