School girl develops app for TN Engg aspirants

A 12th standard student of a cityschool today claimed to have developed a new smart phone app,which promises to guide aspirants for those seeking entry to Tamil Nadu Engineering courses to pursue further education without any hitches.

The creator, Fiona Victoria of Vidya Niketan School, saidthat the app 'TNE Counsellor' is designed to help students choose their desired engineering course in a college of their choice and gives them an idea to know where they would land even before the results are out.

The app is totally free of cost and available in all android phone version 4.2 and above, she said. As opposed to similar apps, this app has features like Cutoff calculator, Counselor's choice and Favourites, which, she claimed would be the first Android App to deliver such useful information for 12th Standard students in mobile phone.
