Why did Germanwings jet carrying 150 people on board crashed in relatively clear skies?

One of the pilots on board Germanwings Flight 9525 was locked out of the cockpit when the plane crashed, a senior military official told The New York Times, citing evidence from the cockpit voice recorder.

Lufthansa, the parent company of Germanwings, does not have any information about NYT report. We are looking into it, company spokesman Klaus Gorny told CNN today.
