A new home for Mr Vasan

Former union minister GK Vasan is vacating two rooms in the palatial house where his father GK Moopanar lived for more than two decades.

Vasan, who is sentimental about the house, has continued to stay there during his tenure as union minister.

Having launched his new political party, the Tamil Maanila Congress -- Vasan however does not want favours from the union government.

He will continue to reside in the same premises as a paying guest honouing the Supreme Court verdict.

Vasan will now shift his bags to Chennai.
