Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has been sending text messages and has been in touch with a few senior Congress MPs.

News comes in that Mr Gandhi had directed the MPs especially from the Rajya Sabha to oppose the Mines Bill.

he Upper House of Parliament passed the Mines and Minerals Development and Regulation (MMDR) Amendment Bill, 2015, on Friday.

Two Congress MPs who received this SMS shared the text with the media in Central Hall of Parliament today.

But clearly, his message was ignored by a large majority of Congress men in the upper house, which passed the Mines and Minerals Development and Regulation Amendment Bill, today.

So, was there any deal that was struck due to which Mr G's text was ignored? The real story will never be revealed.
