MPs unite over mosquitoes in Rajya Sabha

Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan led a protest in the Rajya Sabha today about a matter that was entirely apolitical -- mosquitoes inside the house.

Rajya Sabha MPs have been complaining about the foul smell that emanates from a sewarage line adjacent to the Rajya Sabha chambers, which in fact, is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Najma Heptullah, Anand Sharma and other MPs stood up and joined Bachchan's protest.

The deputy chairman of the Rajya Sabha told the secretariat to fumigate the area.
