Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the world is witnessing an entirely new paradigm of terrorism in the form of the Islamic State (IS) but added that the terror outfit has no influence among the Indian youth.

Delivering the inaugural address at the International Counter-Terrorism Conference in Jaipur, the Home Minister said the appeal of ISIS to young and educated people, in spite of the group's medieval ideology, is a cause of concern for the global community.

Terror outfits like the ISIS do not believe in a plural society and are extremely intolerant of a liberal and secular democratic order, noted Singh.

Singh said that Indian Muslims are patriots and have not strayed into any extremist ideology and reiterated a statement he made earlier that there is no good terrorist or bad terrorist.

Targeting Pakistan, Singh said it should stop using terrorism as an instrument for its own interest. "If Pakistan and ISI stop supporting terrorist groups, the security situation in South Asia would improve significantly."
