Shiv Sena protests Masrat Alam's release

The Jammu unit of Shiv Sena protested against the release of separatist leader Masarat Alam.

The controversial decision to release Alam rocked both houses of parliament and accrued much ire from opposition political parties.

Alam's release came soon after the controversial statement by newly sworn J&K CM Mufti Mohammed Sayeed that the recently concluded assembly elections went without a hitch due to the help of separatist leaders.
