Survey ship Sandhayak picks up signals from missing Dornier: Coast Guard

Just In: A naval ship, INS Sandhayak, has picked up beacon signals from the Coast Guard's Dornier aircraft, which went missing with three crew members on board on Monday night.

The location of the signals is said to be south of Puducherry between Port Novo and Karaikal, close to where it lost tracked by the radar.

A fleet of 15 ships including a submarine have been engaged in search operations to trace the missing aircraft.

MoD spokesperson Sitanshu Kar tweeted: Multi-coloured oil seen in concentric circles indicating oozing of oil in area under focus.
