Superstar Salman Khan has joined the ranks of many who have been voicing their protest over hanging 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon.

In a series of tweets, the first of which was posted around 2 am today, Khan said: 'Hang Tiger. Brother is being hanged for Tiger. Arre where is Tiger?'

'Tiger ki hi to kami hai India mein. Tiger ko lao. Hum to upne family par mar jaeeen. Tiger tumhara bhai kuch kino mein tumhare liyeh phansi k phande pe chardne walla hai. Wah bhai ho to aisa. Matlab. Ya Khoob.'

'1 innocent man killed is killing the humanity.'

'Get Tiger, hang him. Not his brother.'

Then, in a tweet addressed to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Salman Khan says, 'Sharif Saab ek darkhaust hai k agar yeh aap k mulkh mein hai toh plz iktila kar deejiyeh.'

The Bollywood superstar's latest release, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, incidentally, revolves around the basic humanity of the people of India and Pakistan, in which the character played by Khan attempts to return a young Pakistani girl stranded in India to her family.

That the most unlikely Salman Khan film has touched a chord among the masses can be seen by the box office records the film has been breaking.

Salman Khan winds up his tweets by saying, 'been wanting to tweet tis for 3 days n was afraid to do so but it involves a man's n family. Don't hang brother hang tha lomdi who ran away. N no 1 ever address him as tiger ever. Does not deserve that at all. Hang that'' fill in th blanks.'
