July 15, 2015  11:01
Pakistani Rangers today violated the ceasefire again and resorted to sniper firing, leaving a BSF jawan injured and triggering an exchange of fire in the Kanachak sector of Akhnoor along the international border this morning.

As BSF troops tried to evacuate the injured jawan in a vehicle, they were heavily fired upon by Pakistani Rangers, he said. The BSF troops retaliated, resulting in exchange of fire which was still going on when last reports came in. The injured jawan has been hospitalised.

There have been ceasefire violations by Pakistan on the IB and Line of Control recently.
