53 militants killed in Pak aerial strikes

At least 53 militants, including a Taliban commander, were today killed in air strikes by Pakistani security forces in the northwest tribal region on Pakistan, where the military is locked in a major offensive against insurgents.

The security forces targeted militant-controlled areas in Datta Khel region of North Waziristan, one of the 7 tribal regions in Pakistan, near the Afghan border.
