And there is a lot of disappointment about Selma on Twitter as well:

"So ... the Academy includes not a single actor or actress of color in nominations, throws "Selma" in for 10-film Best Pic round, tweets American television host Joy-An Reid.

"Anderson was nominated for Best Director?? Sorry I'm slow, but that's huge. Maybe Ava will be nominated a decade after she deserved it, too," tweets critic Miriam Bale.

"One of Oscar's biggest "Selma" oversights is, without a doubt, cinematographer Bradford Young. Rarely has our skin looked so good on film," tweets American Jamil Smith.

Selma is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by James Bevel, Hosea Williams, and Martin Luther King, Jr.
