When Pranab Mukherjee broke rules

President Pranab Mukherjee has been a chain smoker -- he prefers the pipe -- recalls one occasion where he broke the rules in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Pranab Mukherjee allowed Bangladesh president Abdul Hamid to smoke inside Rashtrapati Bhavan which is a No Smoking Zone (NSZ). Each suite of the President's home has a NSZ notification.

But when Pranab Mukherjee visited Bangladesh, he quit smoking for a while, even as Hamid was left drawing on his cigarette.
