Coast Guard clears the air: Men on boat were not smugglers

The Coast Guard has come forward and categorically stated that the boat which was intercepted off the Gujarat coast and then blew up did not contain smugglers. Following the incident, a war of words broke out between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party with the former demanding that the government come clear on the entire matter and said there were some details that didn't add up. The BJP, on its part, said that the Congress was speaking like Pakistan. "Congress is supplying oxygen to Pakistan. Do they not have faith in Indian Coast Guard?" asked BJP's Sambit Patra.
