Communist leader Govind Pansare no more

Communist leader Govind Pansare, who was shot at in Kolhapur four days ago, passed away in Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai, on Friday night.

On Friday noon, Pansare was flown to Mumbai from Kolhapur in an air ambulance with two doctors from Nanavati hospital for further treatment.

However, he succumbed to injuries.

82- year old Pansare and his wife Uma were shot by unidentified persons near their house in Kolhapur on February 16 when they were returning from their morning walk.
