Islamic State says it beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya

The Islamic State released a video today purportedly showing the beheading of at least 21 Egyptian Christians, the jihadists say they captured in Libya.

The footage released online shows handcuffed hostages wearing orange jumpsuits being beheaded by their black-suited captors on a seashore.

Egypt reserves the right to respond in any way it sees fit, its President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has said. IS militants claim to have carried out several attacks in Libya, which is in effect without a government.
