Angry parents have surrounded a school in Kerala protesting after the school authorities locked up their children for hours. According to the parents, the officials of Hilltop Public High School in Kozhikode had locked up the kids for more than two hours inside the school. The principal said that students had been kept in a separate hall over non-payment of fees. Parents said that the hall where the kids were kept did not have a fan, and the students were not let out even to use the toilet. Two students were taken to the hospital after they fainted.
Parents had decided not to pay fees as the school had announced that it would shut down.
