Sonia, Rahul get bail in National Herald case

The Congress president Sonia and vice president Rahul Gandhi have been granted bail in the National Herald case at the Patiala House court. The Gandhis were granted bail for Rs 50,000. Former PM Manmohan Singh will stand surety for the bail. Other than the Gandhis, the other five were also granted bail in the case.

The bail was granted despite Subramaniam Swamy opposing the decision and demanding for a bailable warrant to be issued against Sam Pitroda, who wasnt present at the hearing as he is unwell.
