Congress party president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi will appear in court for the first time in their lives on Saturday. The feverishly anticipated court appearance is a throw back to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's arrest on charges of corruption following the two-year long Emergency period, which she imposed, and her defeat in the 1977 national election.
