DCW seeks stay on juvenile convict's release

The Delhi Commission for Women has written to the President, chief justice of the Delhi high court and the Supreme Court, requesting them to stop the release of the juvenile convict in the 2012 Delhi gang rape case till his mental state is assessed.

The DCW, in its letter to the President, has requested to pass the Juvenile Justice amendment bill, pending in the Rajya Sabha, as soon as possible.
