'Court' fails to make final Oscars list

Court', India's official entry to the Oscars, has failed to find a mention in the list of films eligible for the 88th Academy Awards.

But four other Indian films -- 'Nachom-ia Kumpasar' (Konkani), 'Jalam' (Malayalam), 'Hemalkasa' (Hindi) and RangiTaranga (Kannada) -- have made it to the final list of 305 films.

The jury will watch the films from this final list and pick the winners. 'Jalam', directed by M Pad makumar, is about the challenges faced by a widow. 'Hemalkasa' is a biopic of humanitarian Dr Prakash Baba Amte and his wife. 'Rangi Taranga' is a crime thriller.
