Bihar to ban liquor from April 1 next year

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Friday that liquor ban will be effectively implemented in the state from April 1, 2016.

The CM said in the first stage, the sale of local brands of liquor will be banned completely and the sale of foreign brands of liquor will be limited.

Through this decision, overall, 90 per cent reduction will be recorded in sale of liquor statewide, said Kumar.
