Indrani Mukherjea's former husband Sanjeev Khanna has been remanded to police custody by the Mumbai court till August 31 in the Sheena Bora murder case. Police sought police custody for Khanna for a maximum available period. He will be taken for a reconstruction of the crime. Police have also recovered two visas (Norway and Ireland) from him and is likely to bring him face-to-face with the other accused -- Indrani and the driver.

Khanna who was brought in from Kolkata told the police yesterday that he had seen the body of Indrani's daughter, Sheena Bora, lying next to him in a car in which they were travelling together in Mumbai on April 24, 2012.

Khanna had initially denied any role in the murder. However, yesterday in a statement to an investigating officer from the Mumbai Police in Kolkata, he said he had found the body in the car, but had slept through the murder.
