Haven't received any summons from ED, says Chidambaram's son

Karti Chidambaram, the son of former finance minister, P Chidambaram, says neither he nor his company or any company where he is a shareholder has received any summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Enforcement Directorate had today summoned two directors of a company owned by Karti Chidambaram in connection with the Aircel Maxis scam. The deal was allegedly made just before the company was given an approval from the foreign investment promotion board.

The agency is investigating why shares were allotted to Karti's company at a much lower rate than the book value.
