LK Advani refuses to speak at BJP's national executive meet

For only the second time since the BJP was born 35 years ago, LK Advani will not deliver his traditional valedictory address at the party's national executive meeting.

He has turned down party president Amit Shah's request to speak today, the second day of the BJP's Bengaluru conclave.

While Advani's refusal to make a speech is seen as a signal of his deep disillusionment, sources said top leaders were also wary of what the sidelined 87-year-old would say.
