4 militants gunned down in battle in Tangdhar

Mukhtar Ahmad from Srinagar reports that four militants were killed during a search operation in the Tangdhar sector of the Line of Control in the frontier Kupwara district on Saturday. "The Indian Army had launched an operation in the area based on information they had received about the presence of a group of militants in the area,' said Defence spokesman SD Goswami. He said during the searches, the militants opened fire triggering an encounter. So far four militants have been killed and four AK-47 rifles recovered.
