Army chief: Won't rest till last person is evacuated to safety

In Kashmir, in the worst floods in 60 years, no phone connectivity, in large swathes of the valley. The state government says it needs more rescue boats. In Srinagar, the water level has been receding, but waters still rising in the Dal Lake.

Army chief assures the people that the army won't rest till the last person is evacuated. So far 5000 people have been moved to safety. Over 160 people are dead, according to official figures, with over lakhs stranded.
