PM Modi launches labour portal Shram Suvidha

In an attempt to boost Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Make in India' call, the government launched its 'Shram Suvidha' to revamp labour inspection system. According to it, labour inspectors have to submit their reports within 72 hours of their inspection. PM Modi also announced that the number of labour laws will reduce from 16 to 1. Modi also launched the Universal Account Number for Employees Provident Fund.
