Rediff.com's Indrani Roy reports that the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos have reached Simulia madrassa in Burdwan. Two women -- Gulshana Bibi alias Rumi and Alima alias Amina Bibi -- who were arrested because of their alleged involvement in the blast, are believed to have been trained at this madrassa.

Last night, a bomb went off in Maldas Kaliachak area around 8pm injuring two, including a 12-year-old child. This is the third bomb blast in the district in the last two weeks.
According to Malda Police, the blast occurred when some people were moving a few crude bombs packed in steel utensils in a two-wheeler from the residence of one Murtez Sheikh in Kaliachak to a 'safer' place.
