UN worker dies from Ebola in Germany

A United Nations employee has died from Ebola, a hospital in Leipzig said Tuesday. The unnamed patient, 56, was being treated at the St Georg hospital. Hospital authorities said that the patient was diagnosed with Ebola on October 6 and arrived in Leipzig for treatment on October 9. The outbreak has killed more than 4,000 people since March - mostly in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Nigeria. The World Health Organization described it as the "the most severe, acute health emergency seen in modern times".
