PM Modi reaches cyclone-hit Visakhapatnam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Visakhapatnam to take stock of the damage the area has suffered after cyclone Hudhud. Fifteen people were killed in Visakhapatnam, six in Vizianagaram and one in Srikakulam. More than 6,600 houses were destroyed and 1,780 animals had perished. Trees, electricity and telephone poles have been flattened all over. Hospitals are packed with people seeking refuge and essentials like food and water, apart from a sliver of power to charge their phones.
