National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has stayed back here for two days to meet his US counterparts and discuss issues relating to terror and homeland security.

Doval, who accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his five-day visit to the US, is expected to discuss subjects like the emerging threats in West Asia in the form of ISIS and its implications for South Asia including India.

In their talks yesterday, Modi and President Barack Obama committed themselves to joint and concerted efforts to dismantle all safe havens for terror and disrupt all financial and tactical support to Al Qaida, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e- Mohammad, the Haqqani network and the D-company, a reference to the network of Dawood believed to be living in Pakistan under official patronage.
