Bengaluru blast definitely a terror attack: Rijiju

On Monday morning, Minister of State for Home Affairs speaking to the media confirmed that the IED explosion on Church Street in Bengaluru was a terror attack. "Security and alertness needs to be enhanced. This was definitely a terror attack," he said.

On Sunday, around 8.30 pm, an IED exploded on Church Street, killing one woman and injuring three others. Hours after the blast, the Karnataka home minister had said that the explosion was a terror attack.

The Karnataka chief minister has called for a high-level meet today to review the situation and also announced a Rs 5 lakh compensation to the kin of the victim.
