BJP welcomes the right to negative vote

The SC said that negative vote is recognised in 13 countries across the world and should be extended to the Indian electorate as well. The SC also said if Parliamentarians can have the right to negative vote in the House, it should be extended to the rest of the country as well.

BJP's Balbir Punj says the party welcomes the move of negative voting and would strengthen democracy.
