SC notices to 7 states on coal blocks allocation

The Supreme Court has issued notices to seven states seeking their response on the coal blocks allocation. The states include Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.

The SC has directed the seven state governments to file a response by October 29 and give details of agreements between government companies which were allocated coal blocks with private parties.
