Police cover provided for for Shoma Chaudhury

Former Tehelka Managing Editor Shoma Chaudhury was today provided with a security cover after a group of BJP workers led by Vijay Jolly allegedly heckled her and defaced the nameplate outside her residence.

On what kind of security was extended to Chaudhury, asenior Delhi Police official said, "The security apparatus cannot be revealed. She would be provided adequate security to prevent recurrence of such an event."

Chaudhury who had reached National Commission for Women (NCW) office in the afternoon to record her statement about her and Tehelka's response in dealing with alleged sexual assault case against its Editor Tarun Tejpal, filed a complaint with the commission regarding her house in Saket being vandalised allegedly by some BJP workers led by Jolly.
