Live! Tejpal will appear before Goa police on Saturday: Lawyers

Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal may not appear before the Goa police for questioning today. Summons were sent to Tejpal around 11 am today, which his lawyers say is not enough time to reach Goa. His legal team says he will not appear for questioning before Saturday.

The Goa Police has summoned Tejpal to appear before it in connection with the sexual assault allegation against him by 3 pm today.

Media reports say that Tejpal could be arrested as soon as he reaches Goa.

He has been summoned in the wake of the recording of the statement made by the victim, a former woman journalist of Tehelka, before a Goa court.
