LIVE! Hamid Ansari sacks Tarun Tejpal from Prasar Bharti

Vice president Dr Hamid Ansari has ordered Tarun Tejpal's name be removed as a member of the selection committee of Prasar Bharti. The Selection Committee chaired by the Vice President met on November, 19, 2013 and made recommendations regarding selection of Tejpal to the Prasar Bharti Board.

However, given the sexual assault charges on Tejpal, the recommendation has been withdrawn.

Prasar Bharati is India's largest public broadcaster.
