LIVE! ATM attack: Man who bought victim's phone from attacker detained

Update on the Bengaluru ATM attack. Vicky Nanjappa reports:

A person who bought the mobile phone from the man who attacked and brutally injured the bank manager at an ATM in the city, has been detained for questioning.

The mobile phone belonged to the victim. The attacker stole the phone from the victim and sold it to the person who has been detained today. The phone was sold along with the sim card and the moment the cell was switched on the police tracked him down and picked him up.

The man was picked up from Hindupur, 150 kilometres from the city and is being questioned for leads into the case. The attacker is still at large, and fled the city immediately after the attack.

Meanwhile, the state Home Minister is holding a high level meeting to review security at ATMs. He has warned all banks to provide security at ATMs in three days, failing which strict action would be initiated.
